I have a quick little note for the people at Labatt…you know, the people that brings us the beer…

I am a man who rarely gets offended at most stereo-types (having used such jokes as “I’m Black and Chinese..I can steal a car, I just can’t drive it…” or “I’m Chinese from the waist up, Black from the waist down..” etc. etc.) and I love poking fun at things that most people would consider distasteful or offensive…

But I saw something on TV the other day (mind you, I don’t watch TV regularly) that just set us black people back a few decades while some advertising company is laughing their way to the bank…The fucking ICEBOX commercial.

I think the only people that find that shit funny is white people that are so “into” the portrayal of black people as thugs, are now beer peddlers climbing into fucking refrigerators. At first I had to double back and I caught myself in a Dave Chapelle moment…I could not believe how fucking offensive that shit was.

I smirked for a second before realizing what I just saw…Why of all the fucking mascots you could have made be an “icebox” representative did you have to make a fridge-dwelling Black man!?!? A fucking penguin or some other animal that doesn’t give a shit… Nah, too easy, right?

You wanna get creative, how about a couple of beet-red honkeys with hockey sticks and a couple of teeth missing? or maybe young, underage, over-consuming, wannabe white thugs (a.k.a. wiggers) with a 2pac soundtrack in the back?

Labatt, you can kiss my half-black, half Chinese ASS with your tongue out!
